Photo: BSSDHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS)- National Citizen Party (NCP) Spokesperson and Chairman of its Central Election Management Committee Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan today said the party would extend cooperation to any government formed through a fully free and fair election. “We want to clearly state that whoever comes to power through a fair election, the NCP, out of respect for democracy, will assist in running the government and the state. However, it must be one hundred percent fair,” he told in an emergency press conference at the party’s central office today. The NCP spokesperson further said that in several constituencies, margins of victory or defeat ranged from a few hundred to a few thousand votes, making a need of recounting the votes.
