A suspected pedophile involved in online child pornography was arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation in Malolos, Bulacan, on Thursday in a joint entrapment operation with the Philippine National Police and foreign law enforcement agencies that also resulted in the rescue of five minors. Janet Francisco, chief of the NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division, identified the suspect as Anselmo Eco Jr., who had been running an online site for child pornography and live streaming of sex shows with minors since 2011. Francisco said Eco was a notorious pedophile and sexual exploiter of children.
