THE Commission on Elections is the last agency that the public should count on for the imperative investigation of massive and systematic fraud in the 2016 elections. Beyond the Senate election, the inquiry must take interest in the Comelec’s decision to buy the expensive election system from Smartmatic. During the inquiry, Comelec must be asked to defend its decision. The focus, however, should first and last be the achievement of a credible and coherent picture of the 2016 elections. We should learn who really were behind the entire scheme to distort and manipulate the 2016 elections.
