NBA postpones Lakers-Clippers game after Kobe Bryant tragedy

LOS ANGELES—The NBA will postpone Tuesday night’s scheduled game between the Lakers and Clippers in the wake of the death of Kobe Bryant. The league announced Monday night that the game will be rescheduled “out of respect for the Lakers,” the only team Bryant played for in 20 seasons. The 16-time NBA champion franchise made grief counsellors available to employees Monday after the loss of Bryant, who spent his entire 20-year NBA career with the Lakers. Dwight Howard is the only current Lakers player who played with Bryant, but the players all knew him. The next game on the Lakers’ schedule is Friday night at home against Portland.
