NAB wants initial inquiry report on NTS


National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal issued directions to the Rawalpindi Regional Bureau to submit the report, a statement issued by the bureau said. Govt, NAB consult on new prosecutor generalJustice Iqbal had directed the NAB Rawalpindi director general to conduct an inquiry into the National Testing Service (NTS) a month ago after receiving several complaints against the service. The complaints alleged frequent outing of question papers, corrupt practices and failure to protect interests of students. The NAB Rawalpindi has also been tasked to probe those responsible for allowing the NTS to conduct various examinations despite the presence of provincial and federal service commissions. NAB Rawalpindi has also been assigned to probe why NTS failed to devise a secure, transparent and merit-based examination system.
