The Hindustan Times described the law firm as counsel for Hafiz Saeed and claimed that the JuD chief in a petition to the United Nations has sought removal of his name from the list of designated terrorists. According to Mirza, different Indian newspapers contacted him to get a clue whether or not Saeed had moved a petition with the UN. When asked whether or not he had filed any petition in the UN seeking de-listing of Saeed, he said he was not in a position to comment on it. He said someone contacted him a day back from the Hindustan Times and asked about the petition. Then he was asked to share contents of the petition but again he refused to comment.
