NAB seeks report on embezzlement of Rs 4 billion in Airport Cooperative Housing Society projectISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chief Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Monday ordered an inquiry against Federal Minister for Housing and Works Akram Durrani for inflicting losses of millions to the national exchequer. Meanwhile, the anti-graft bureau has sought an inquiry report from the circle registrar of Rawalpindi’s cooperative housing societies regarding Rs 4 billion corruption in the Airport Cooperative Housing Society. The letter read that the housing society promised to allot plots to the victims, but after many years, the promises were not fulfilled. The victims of the scam had submitted several applications to the society registrar and police, however, their pleas fell on deaf ears.
