SEREMBAN: Muslims have been reminded to observe proper decorum and abide by guidelines when on the premises of mosques, whatever the occasion, to preserve the sanctity of the holy sites. Negri Sembilan mufti Datuk Mohd Yusof Ahmad said that even Muslim couples holding their solemnisation ceremonies must observe proper etiquette when at mosques. "The intention to hold a solemnisation ceremony is good, but (mosque) guidelines must be adhered to," he said. The mufti also touched on the issue of menstruating women, who are prohibited from entering mosques. On another note, Mohd Yusof said that all mosque managements must ensure that preachers invited to deliver sermons have the required credentials awarded by the state Mufti's Department.
