KUALA LUMPUR: MCA today launched a broadside against the DAP-led Penang state government for refusing to take full responsibility for the slew of errors it committed on the island over the last nine years. Party deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said DAP refused to admit its shortcomings because it believed it could never make mistakes. “When the Tanjung Bungah landslide occurred last month, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng played down the incident by calling it a ‘worksite accident’,” Wee told delegates when officiating MCA Youth’s 53rd annual general meeting at Wisma MCA here today. Wee also slammed the Penang for claiming that landslides were only considered “real” if traffic was seriously impacted. Wee said unlike DAP, MCA was able to deliver its promises to the people by working with the government to approve the construction of 10 new Chinese schools in new growth areas.
