Citigroup Inc. has appointed N Rajashekaran as its country officer for Bangladesh, said a press release issued on Thursday. He will oversee all of Citi’s businesses and franchise operations in the country and be responsible for maintaining the firm’s regulatory and governance standards. The 32-year banking veteran, Rajashekaran, had his previous role as the country business manager for Citi’s Global Consumer Banking business in China. Previously, he played the same role in Thailand and India and also as the Chief Risk Officer for Citibank Korea. It has one of the best foreign banking franchises in the country, holding strong leadership positions across several product areas.
