KUALA LUMPUR: Social Welfare Department today launched its card to ease the process of verifying former residents from its children’s welfare homes. Women, Family and Community Development Ministry said the card, called “MyInst”, would be issued to those aged 18 and above. The card is a verification that they once lived in our homes,” the ministry said in a statement. The ministry said the card issuance was part of the efforts to better help children from its homes. It said five cards were issued today to youths from its childen’s homes as a symbolic gesture during the launch.
