So, when my son asked if he could go to football practice with his friends I gladly took him along. His commitment to the game was never a surprise, but my eagerness to become a football mum was. It wasn’t long before he wanted to join a team (Picture: Kate Chapman)Now 11, he trains twice a week and plays in the Peterborough Junior Alliance League on Sundays. Thanks to football my kids have made new friends (as have I), learnt the importance of being team players and grown in self-confidence. It’s quite a commitment week in week out (Picture: Kate Chapman)They really do eat, sleep, and breathe football.
