Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has alleged that his arrest was politically instigated by political rivals to distabilise his leadership. Babu further alleged that one officer had informed him that Francis Mureithi, who petitioned his Embakasi East win had communicated with another MP saying he (Babu) would be arrested before 4pm. I'm told Mureithi called another city MP and told him I would be arrested....clearly, things are happening as they had planned," he said. Mureithi, however, denied any involvement in the MP's arrest saying he has no dispute or conflict with Babu Owino aka Paul Ongili.
