Writer, comedian and podcaster Colm O’ReganColm O’Regan, who grew up on a farm in the Cork village of Dripsey, quit a sensible job in IT in the middle of the recession to become a full-time comedian. Since then, he’s taken the meaning of “portfolio career” to the next level: he’s a stand-up comedian, a comedy writer and presenter for TV and radio (including the RTÉ Radio 1 show Colm O’Regan Wants A Word), an author, a voiceover artist for commercials, a narrator for TV shows, a newspaper columnist, an MC and event host, and the co-host of a news-themed podcast called ‘A Few Scoops’.
