MEERUT: The father, brother and two uncles of a 21-year-old have been arrested in Muzaffarnagar for allegedly gang-raping her for eloping with a man. The woman as well as her 32-year-old lover, a father of three, are residents of Dhaneda village.They had eloped twice in July and again in October, and the woman's family twice filed an abduction complaint with police.The first time, the man was let off by a court after the woman said she left with him by choice. They were arrested on Monday. The four have been booked under IPC Sections 376D (gang rape) and 313 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent), among others. The woman's mother has claimed her husband and son are innocent, saying her daughter had made the claim "under (her lover) Gayasuddin 's influence".
