Foreign Affairs Cabinet nominee Alfred Mutua on Monday spoke about the collapsed agreement he signed with the Azimio la Umoja coalition before decamping to Kenya Kwanza. Mutua claimed the political agreement was scuttled by some few selfish individuals who wanted to ruin the Azimio coalition. Mutua ditched Azimio in May 2022 and joined President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza camp which eventually won the August 9 polls. He said the agreement signed between Kenya Kwanza and his Maendeleo Chap Chap party was transparent and he did not feel sidelined like was with Azimio. He said the Azimio coalition favoured some political parties leaving others like MCC in the dark.
