Hundreds of Muslim faithful in the Coast joined the country in marking the end of the holy month of Ramadhan with calls for peace, forgiveness and tolerance. Muslims in Mombasa met at Ronald Ngala Primary School, while those in Kilifi county met at Alaskan grounds in Malindi town. In Malindi, Ustadh Athman Shee urged Muslims to unite and be tolerant as the holy Quran requires. Mohamed assured Mombasa residents of security during and after Eid. Thousands of other Muslims attended the prayers in Tononoka grounds in Mvita, Kishada grounds in Kisauni, Changamwe, Nyali and Likoni.
