Sources say the commissioners have rejected pleas from the leaders to leave office, insisting they will only leave office through the laid-down constitutional means. Attempts by Muslim leaders to convince embattled IEBC commissioners to leave office has failed. The source said the commissioners were advised to relinquish office and be sure of a peaceful election. However, the IEBC through twitter said they met Supkem officials, who said any reforms in the IEBC must be through a legal process. Another source told the Star some commissioners are worried of the consequences that will face them after leaving offices.
