PETALING JAYA: A group comprising five Malaysian musicians made an unexpected splash in Westeros, so to speak, after releasing on YouTube their hybrid rendition of themes from Game of Thrones. The talented musicians, playing under the name Mahakarya Studios MY, produced a traditional mash-up cover of three popular compositions from the wildly popular fantasy series with a unique folksy Malaysian twist. “I hope one day Malaysia will have one series like Game of throne but the stories are all about our pahlawan dulu2,” said another. Some even put in requests for covers of Marvel’s Endgame and music popular videogames Skyrim and Witcher. The group replied in the comments section, thanking everyone for their support and promised to continue delivering more.
