The Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s oboist Hugo Lee is originally from Richmond Hill, Ont. Lee’s hometown and the people in it, like his first oboe teacher, Wendy Bornstein, are on his mind these days. One of the pieces Bornstein taught him was Georg Philipp Telemann’s Siciliana, which he is going to play for the Musical Moment. Produced by the TSO and the Star, the Musical Moment features musicians recording themselves live at home, performing pieces no longer than three minutes.
