Music teachers to perform against world's bestLIU CHEN / FAIRFAX NZ Ross Gerritsen and Steve Miles before the National Brass Band rehearsal at Saint Kentigern College. The 2017 National Brass Band of New Zealand is tuning up their instruments before they head off on an overseas excursion. The band is made up of over 30 musicians from around the country, including Saint Kentigern College head of music Ross Gerritsen​ and Macleans College director of music Steve Miles. They will then head to the Netherlands to compete against nine European bands at the World Brass Band Championships. It's important that our students see that we can walk the walk because of course we talk the talk a lot at work."
