Conditions were reportedly treacherous at the time of the crash. Photo ODTPolice have named the woman who was killed in a crash near Karitane, north of Dunedin on Friday. Four other people were injured in the two-car collision, on State Highway 1, about 5km south of Waikouaiti, around 3.30pm on Friday. At the time police said they would not be drawn on the cause of the crash, but conditions in the area were treacherous, with low visibility, wet roads wet and constant drizzle. The serious crash unit is investigating.
