ROME - Singer and song-writer Eugenio Bennato will start a tour 'Da che sud è sud - Tour Internazionale' that will take him to Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt. The tour will then continue, touching a large area of the Mediterranean and then reaching the rest of Africa and Latin America. The artist uses sounds, instruments and languages from different southern countries of the world. The songs, Bennato said, are like ''the pages of a travel diary'' across Latin America and North Africa with ''the drums and caravans of desperation and hope, the Mediterranean of exchanges and barriers, the Far East of mystery and legends''. ''Each song has its history and identity but they are all united by the presence'' of another singer who speaks different languages, from French to English, Arabic, Spanish and Brazilian, he said.
