Gardaí have launched a murder investigation after the deaths of Seema Banu and her young son Faizan and his older sister Asfira. It is understood all three died from strangulation and officers are satisfied the two children were victims of murder. Gardaí had been treating the deaths as unexplained pending the results of post-­mortems but since Wednesday had provided the full resources of a murder inquiry to the investigation team. "Details of the post-mortem results are not being released for operational reasons.
