An Irish medical technology company working in collaboration with the Defence Forces has been given independent backing for an anti-Covid-19 wipe that has been found to provide near-complete protection from the virus. An independent assessment of the product by the French military laboratory, NeoVirTech, showed that it led to a huge reduction in the viral load on human skin under experimental conditions. It was developed by Aquila Bioscience, from NUI Galway, and the tests found that it safely removes 99.99pc of the virus that causes Covid-19 from human skin. Aquila says this is the first time a natural and non-toxic technology, free from harmful chemicals, has been proven to remove Covid-19 from human skin with such efficiency. It says that the technology is saturated onto a large wipe, sterilised and individually packaged.
