Meru Governor Peter Munya took campaigns to his main rival Senator Kiraitu Murungi's home town, urging residents to vote for PNU aspirants on August 8. APK alias Bus, which folded to form Jubilee Party, was led by Senator Kiraitu Murungi. Eleven parties were dissolved to form Jubilee Party, which is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto. But Munya accused Murungi of folding the party against the will of all stakeholders but said PNU has taken over. He also noted he will vie for president in 2022 on a PNU ticket.
