England win World Under-20 title with Calvert-Lewin strikeEngland won the Under-20 World Cup, the country's first world title at any level since 1966, after a 35th-minute goal from Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave them a 1-0 victory over Venezuela on Sunday. Venezuela missed a chance to equalise when England keeper Freddie Woodman saved a 74th-minute Adalberto Penaranda penalty in an enthralling, entertaining game, played in the South Korean city of Suwon. England, however, went in front after Calvert-Lewin won an aerial challenge on the edge of the box. His powerful first-time shot was parried out by keeper Wuilker Farinez but the Everton forward pounced to drive in the loose ball. Venezuela pushed forward in the latter stages but Paul Simpson's side held firm to give England their first world title since their World Cup victory 51 years ago.
