The following is adapted from the opening remarks made by Andrew McAfee in a Munk Debates Podcast with George Monbiot. Starting about 50 years ago, in the capitalist, rich world, we finally got serious about air pollution. And air pollution is the right thing to focus on here, because global warming is caused by greenhouse gases, which are a very widespread pernicious form of air pollution. So, what’s our track record with air pollution? That would include air pollution, water pollution, and different kinds of pollutions on land.
