This is where the need to have Bhayander-Ghodbunder Road connectivity has arisen. The proposed road, that is in the initial stages of planning, will be built as well as widened on certain stretches between Jesal Park in Bhayander and the junction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway-Ghodbunder Road. The segment of last 2 km on the Ghodbunder Road end will be widened, while the rest will have to be constructed afresh, elevated. "Bids have been floated to appoint consultant for conducting feasibility study, soil investigations, preparing Detailed Project Report, estimates, etc," said M. S. Narkar, executive engineer of MMRDA. This 6.92 km road will snake through Jesal Park-St. Tukaram Road-Indralok, Navghar to eventually emerge at the junction of National Highway-8 and Ghodbunder Road.
