Traffic on the N5 near Ballaghaderreen is down to a crawl as overnight road conditions have made driving hazardous. Motorists who contacted the Roscommon Herald have spoken about multiple cars skidding and trucks pulled in waiting for grit between Ballaghaderreen and Carracastle in County Roscommon. The biggest stretch affected is a 5km stretch west of Ballaghaderreen. *Roscommon County Council has been contacted for comment on the issue.
