There were 525 people waiting on trolleys in hospitals across the country on Wednesday morning, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO). In University Hospital Limerick there were 116 people waiting for a bed. 53 of those patients were in the emergency department, with 63 elsewhere in the hospital. In St Vincent's University Hospital, there were 47 people waiting for a bed, with all the patients in the emergency department. In Cork University Hospital, there were 45 people waiting for a bed, with 38 people in the emergency department.
