Muktamoni, an 11-year-old girl who has been suffering from a rare disease that resulted in a malignant growth on her right arm, has been cured after a series of medical operations at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). “Look at my hand! It is fixed now,” Muktamoni said with a lively smile, upon seeing new visitors to her cabin. DMCH Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit Coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen and Dr Khan Abul Kalam Azad visited her on Sunday. Then we decided to take off the bandage to examine her progress.”Over four kilos of malignant growth have been removed from her arm during the operations.
