BANGKOK: Thailand has handed over a list of people who are allegedly holding dual citizenship to Malaysia as both countries stepped up efforts to deal with the issue, said Gen Prawit Wongsuwon yesterday. "We (Malaysia and Thailand) have already set up a joint working committee on the matter and it will be more clear and concrete on what we will do with dual citizenship people. "We (Thailand) already handed over a list of dual citizenship people to Malaysia," he told the media at Government House here, adding that cooperation between both countries on security issues have progressed well. The issue of people holding dual citizenship was discussed during Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's working visit to Thailand in August. Ahmad Zahid had also asked Thailand to furnish a list of those allegedly holding dual citizenship, along with their bio-metric records for verification.
