The 22-year-old joined Lyon in a £19.7 million deal from Celtic last year and scored 23 goals in his first season with the club. Last month, reports in France claimed that Manchester United have submitted an opening bid of €40m (£35m) to sign Dembele. United could be in the market for a new striker as Inter have held talks to sign Romelu Lukaku, although the Serie A club are unwilling to match the Belgian’s £80m asking price.
