Celtic may be unwilling to let Tierney go on the cheap, as they could have gained a lot more money from the sale of Van Dijk in 2015, according to TalkSport’s David Connolly. The Hoops let van Dijk move to Southampton for around £13m four years ago. But the Dutch defender’s value increased more than five times to £75m when he moved to Liverpool last year. Celtic will be keen to avoid a similar situation, which may force Arsenal to increase their bid for Tierney, he said.
