more-inThe Mount Zion Educational and Charitable Society will construct an airstrip at Aranmula in the next six months, society chairman Abraham Kalamannil has said. He said the society had 232 acres at Aranmula which was sold to the Chennai-based KGS Group for ₹6 crore for constructing an international airport. The land deal with the KGS Group was a wrong decision, he said, adding that he would not support the Aranmula airport project any more. He said the society was ready to provide its remaining land at Aranmula Puncha for agriculture purposes. He said the society would try to settle the disputes with the KGS Group over the Aranmula land deal.
