A person has been taken to hospital after a motorcycle and car crashed on State Highway 1 near Allanton this morning. A police spokeswoman said police were called to the crash at 11.25am on the Taieri Plains Highway between Henley Rd and Mclaren Gully Rd. The motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital, the spokeswoman said.
