Motorcyclist caught going 117 km/h over speed limit in Richmond Hill: police


A 21-year-old man is facing multiple charges after an officer caught him going 117 km/h over the speed limit on a motorcycle in Richmond Hill on Sunday. The motorcycle was clocked going 197 km/h in an 80 km/h zone, according to York Regional Police. The officer allegedly heard, then spotted a blue Yamaha motorcycle travelling at high speed on Highway 7. The 21-year-old Vaughan man has been charged with dangerous driving, stunt driving and speeding. Police say it happened just before 10:30 p.m. near Highway 7 and Hunters Point Drive.
