The deceased is Rezia Begum, wife of Saudi immigrant Arif Hossain of the same area. Quoting Rezia’s relatives, Tangail model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sayedur Rahman said: “Rezia, accompanied by her 4-year-old daughter, carried food to a nearby madrasa on Thursday evening. While returning home, a gang of culprits slit her throat and threw her body in a roadside paddy field. “After hearing the cries of the Rezia’s daughter, the locals took the victim to Tangail General Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead on arrival.
