Morocco is endeavoring to develop and modernize agricultural sectors. To this end, 19 new generation program contracts, covering 10 years, were concluded between the State and the profession, on the sidelines of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM) held in Meknes. The contracts are worth 110.698 billion dirhams to which the State will contribute 42.477 billion dirhams in the framework of the Agricultural Development Fund (FDA). The implementation of the commitments of these program contracts aims to improve the profitability of agricultural production, enhance production, and modernize marketing and distribution methods. They also aim to improve research, training and working conditions for farmers and workers, in addition to extending support for the organization and structuring of professional organizations to create a new generation of effective professional agricultural organizations.
