Morocco is the third largest investor in Côte d’Ivoire with €313 million invested in the West African country in the last five years, said Thierry Badou, head of the Ivorian investment promotion center (CEPICI). “Morocco, France and Mauritius are the top 3 biggest investors in the country”, said Badou. In 2015, Morocco topped the list of foreign investors in Côte d’Ivoire with 22% of overall investments, he said. Moroccan enterprises in the country operate notably in the fields of construction, new information technologies, agri-food, trade and pharmaceutics, he added. Morocco was outpaced by France in 2016, but is now coming back in the race, exploring new partnership and investment opportunities.
