In all, 162 active wildfires are burning across the province, and air quality advisories remain in effect for much of B.C. The Battleship Mountain wildfire is advancing east and is now approximately 12 km from the District of Hudson's Hope in northeastern B.C. Bennet and Peace Canyon dams in northeastern B.C., which provide much of the province's electricity, are under evacuation orders as the Battleship Mountain wildfire grows in the region.
