Record numbers of dementia sufferers are being 'dumped in hospital' because of the collapsing social care system. The number of emergency hospital admissions for those with the condition has reached 379,004 a year, or more than 1,000 a day. The Daily Mail is campaigning for an end to the dementia care crisis which forces thousands of people to sell their homes to fund crippling care costs.
