This is my third Forbes column on recent polls on impeachment. Polling in some key 2020 states suggests less support than the national polls for impeaching and removing Donald Trump. In fairness, impeachment is political and the other things the pollsters asked about were policy issues such as reducing the deficit or health care reform. Only a few pollsters have asked whether Trump’s fate should be decided at the ballot box or by an impeachment inquiry. Sixty percent in the mid-November Morning Consult poll said the impeachment was more important to the media than to them.
