Montserrado County soccer squad has won the 2016/2017 National County Sports Meet after defeating Maryland County four goals to two during a post match penalty at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium down town Monrovia. Earlier, both teams during the ninety minutes play scored one goal each which subsequently led to a post penalty kicks, thus making Montserrado County to score four goals, while Maryland was unfortunate to score two goals. Today’s match was witnessed by both President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Vice President Joseph N. Boakai including dozens of government officials and supporters of both teams.
