They were joined by family and friends who came to support them after their release from prison on the 26th August, 2016. The Montie trio were found guilty of contempt charges and found to have threatened the lives of the Supreme Court judges during a radio discussion on Montie FM’s ‘Pamapaso’. However, several Ministers of State signed a petition to the president to grant them pardon. After serving part of their prison sentence imposed on them the Montie trio were released on the 26th august 2016.
