The ongoing spell of heavy rainfall has damaged city roads including a part of the recently inaugurated Income Tax flyover. Senior office bearers of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) said they would investigate the cause. Citizens have complained about waterlogging, potholes and the upper layer of roads being washed away because of the rain. South West Zone recorded maximum 111.5 mm rain followed by North West Zone (105.5 mm), South Zone (74.75 mm) and Central Zone (68.75 mm) rains.
