ALOR STAR: Kedah Pas is not worried by the proposed Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Memali incident even with allegation of irregularities in the Memali fund set up by the party for the victims. Kedah Pas deputy commissioner Muhamad Sanusi Md Noor said issue regarding the fund has already been solved and should not be brought up in the RCI. He also said the fund was no longer active and the money raised through it has been distributed to the victims families. According to Sanusi, the Memali fund was set up by Kedah Pas to help ease the burden faced by families of the victims following the November 1985 incident. On another note, Sanusi who has been given the responsibility to act as coordinator for families of Memali victims by Kedah Pas, said he had held a meeting with the families last Tuesday on the proposed RCI.
