Mombasa County Governor has said that the county's residents will not support President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee government come 2017. In January, Joho accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of ignoring him during his tour of the county. "You (President Kenyatta) will never get support from Mombasa and the larger Coast region because you have neglected the region,” said Joho. “This is Raila Odinga's stronghold and I fully support him as the county governor,” added Joho. Speaking on Wednesday when he presented title deeds to Kidogo Basi residents, Hassan Joho said the Coast region is a Cord zone and the residents are fully behind Raila Odinga.
