Mombasa Governor aspirant Hezron Awiti has been sued by his ex-wife over the custody of their two children. His former wife is seeking Sh1.5 million as monthly maintenance for their twins in a petition filed at the Milimani law court. The woman claims one of her daughters, who has been living with the father since 2013, has complained of being sexually harassed at their Mombasa home. The woman filed the suit saying efforts to have her former husband pay school fees for the minors have failed. Awiti's ex-wife claims their daughter run away from the home in December after her father failed to protect her.
